Louis and Teresa Joliot, owners of Color de Verano, arrived in Cancun in 1986 from Mexico City, where they’d had a well known stoneware workshop “La Terre Cuite” for over 10 years.
They brought with them their business and started producing lamps and decoration items mostly for hotels and gift shops. Ever since moving to Cancun they enjoyed the ocean and fell in love with Isla, spending here every weekend.
They bought the land in 1997, started building the apartments and finished in December 1999, just in time to welcome the Millenium!
In 2007 they decided to “retire” and sold their ceramic business in Cancun, their house and moved to Isla in June 2008, to live in their second property on the Macax lagoon.
While building the apartments Louis saw the need for good wood work and decided to start his own workshop, first in Cancun and eventually in Isla, where he continues to design and build furniture, doors, kitchens, etc. both for their units and on order. You will find his work in their apartments, private homes and some hotels.
Teresa is in charge of the apartments, welcoming guests and supervising the operation.
They have both met and become friends with guests who, just like them, find in Isla a piece of paradise. Once you visit Isla, you’ll agree!
